The angry staff of Vivo India went into scuffle with the company's security guard after the company announced to fire over 50 employees from its IT Park complex office located in Greater Noida. Reportedly, the company fired over 1000 employees in past few months. As per the HT report, the clash began when angry employees demanded for an explanation on the layoff and a security guard slapped a worker. While some employees received minor injuries, the clash lasted for almost half an hour before the police took the charge. According to one of the fired employees, Vivo hired employees in bulk during the IPL season and is now firing them as the season comes to end.
