Mississippi State looked every bit like one of the nation's best teams during the first quarter on Sunday afternoon. Ole Miss outscored Mississippi State 31-30 in the second half. There wasn't much doubt about the outcome after Mississippi State jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the opening minutes. Mississippi State led 19-4 after one quarter and 39-18 at halftime. If Mississippi State wants to beat the Tigers, McCowan and Vivians need to stay out of foul trouble.
