As per trade reports, the film is said to have grossed more than Rs 15 crore. On Thursday, Vivegam collected a whopping Rs 33.08 crore worldwide, while Rs 25.83 crore in India. In Tamil Nadu alone, the film minted Rs 17 crore on its first day thereby becoming Ajith Kumar's all-time best opening. The film, however, failed to beat superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali, which earned Rs 21 crore on day one.
