Jody Vance said her heart skipped a beat when she got an unexpected phone call from the long-term care facility where her elderly father lives. Visiting loved ones in long-term care during the COVID-19 pandemic often means no physical contact. The National Institute on Ageing said families in British Columbia are enduring the most restrictive long-term care home visitation policies in the country.
