more-inAfter speculation about his eligibility to contest, actor and producer Vishal will now be a candidate in the upcoming Producers Council elections. The Madras High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition which had been filed questioning the eligibility of Vishal to contest in the election as he was an office bearer of the South India Artists Association. The actor, along with a team of producers, including K.E. Earlier, Vishal was suspended from the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council in November 2016 after the council said he had made disparaging remarks against them in an interview to a Tamil magazine. When the plea had come up for hearing, the council produced a copy of the resolution revoking the suspension and the apology letter sent by the actor.
