The coronavirus tracking app, developed by the Hong Kong government, allows the public to record places they have been by scanning the QR codes at the venues or inputting the license plate number of taxis. So far, about 67,000 public and private venues that have participated in the scheme. Asked whether the government will make the use of the app mandatory, he said: “Whether to make it mandatory or not depends on the development of the epidemic.”Sit also said the electronic vaccination record and the booking system for the Covid-19 vaccination should be ready next month. The centralised digital system will be able to keep vaccination records which people will know which vaccine they have injected and when to get their second jab.
