On Thursday, Virgin Atlantic announced plans to relaunch services to Shanghai, which will begin next week. Services will be operated by Virgin Atlantic’s flagship Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, and it has been keen to note the recent membership into SkyTeam through China Eastern in Shanghai. However, the return to China will be welcome news for Virgin Atlantic, especially as they continue to expand services for the Summer 2023 season. What remains clear is that Virgin Atlantic continues to press ahead with overall growth and is happy to restart markets on a larger scale too.
