Chuck Mooney strutted up to the Heron executive golf course starter’s shack, pulled out his scorecard and slapped it down on the counter. The man behind the counter unenthusiastically asked if Mooney had recorded a hole-in-one. Mooney and his wife, Peggy O’Brien, both recorded a hole-in-one on Jan. 26, which isn’t a completely unheard of event in The Villages. O’Brien started looking around, but she didn’t see where it ended up. “What I said, you can’t print.”The couple almost decided to end the round right then and there.
