Villagers helped carry the body of Banthai Thawichai down from a mountain in the park to Saonoi Waterfall in Tambon Phongam in Prachantakham district at 10pm. The body was later sent to the Prachantakham district hospital. When Boonyung went to check Banthai’s whereabouts on Friday morning, he found his friend’s dead body. The two friends tried to carry the body down but they were deep in the forest on the mountain so they went down to seek help from other villagers. The authorities believed the man had died of heart failure as he appeared to have consumed drinks in the cold weather.
