The stupendous success of Vikram Vedha led to speculation of remakes in several languages. "R Madhavan, who acted in Vikram Vedha, brought the film to Shah Rukh, who initially seemed interested in remaking it. Shah Rukh isn't remaking Vikram Vedha anymore," a source told the publication. Directed by Pushkar-Gayatri, Vikram Vedha is the story of an honest cop Vikram (R Madhavan), who is on a mission to nab a notorious gangster Vedha (Vijay Sethupathi). However, after giving it some serious thought, Shah Rukh has decided not to go ahead with the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha.
