Spoilers through Season 4 of 'Vikings' follow. I fear that King Ecbert is not long for this world, nor his son prince Aethelwulf. But Ecbert is stooped and white-haired, a stark transformation from the greying, yet still hale, King Ecbert of bygone days. For one thing, Ragnar's character arc left me feeling somewhat letdown. This hero's journey was completed by midway into Season 3, during which Ragnar made just one mistake: Aslaug.
