The process of disinvestment of hotels and properties of the India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (ITDC) has also been approved. * The government has decided to lease properties jointly with the concerned states or return the properties to the states after fair valuation. * Under the policy, the states will have the option to upgrade or to operate the hotels by involving private sector only after valuation has been done.
