more-inVijaya Bank plans to raise ₹1,000 crore from the market this financial year, Kishore Sansi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank said here on Friday. “Vijaya Bank has not asked for capital from the Government,” Mr. Sansi said. The bank’s net profit for the full year rose 96.56 % year-on-year to ₹750.48 crore and operating profit was up by 56.32% to ₹2421.15 crore. Its gross NPA for last financial year fell to 6.59% from 6.64 % and its net NPA was down to 4.36 % from 4.81 % . Mr. Sansi said Vijaya Bank focused on retail and MSME lending for the last three years.
