The Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) has allowed Kingfisher Airlines' consortium of lenders start proceedings to recover over Rs 6,000 from Vijay Mallya, an alert from PTI said. Beleaguered businessman Vijay Mallya who is in London since March 2, 2016, owes Kingfisher Airlines' 17-bank consortium over Rs 6,000 crore. The Debt Recovery Tribunal has now given the banks led by State Bank of India (SBI) a go-ahead to start the recovery of Rs 6,203 crore owed to them.
