Vihiga United extended their good run of result by beating St Joseph’s Youth FC 2-1 in Mumias Complex. In the early kickoff yesterday, the National Super League leaders Vihiga started on a slow pace as St. Joseph’s Youth threatened early in first half. The first notable incident was when St. Joseph’s defender Omange Eric was booked for a foul on Vihiga captain Patrick Okollo. Vihiga brought in Kevin Lugalia for striker Keiphas Baraza early in the second half as St Joseph’s blew an opportunity to equalise. The Vihiga United coach Manoah Edward attributed the team’s sluggish start to complacency after beating Tusker in their previous encounter.
