It said Babu ordered closure of the certain liquor retail outlets of the state-owned Beverages Corporation to favour bar hotel owners. On many occasions, Babu deviated from the liquor policy of the government to favour certain bar owners, said the report. Earlier, a section of bar hotel owners had moved the court, seeking a probe against the minister. The bureau has said in its report that the senior Congress leader adopted a differential approach towards hotel owners in granting liquor and beer licences. The bureau Friday submitted its quick verification report before the Vigilance court in Muvattupuzha, seeking a detailed investigation into the matter.
