Vietnamese enterprises use over 200,000 .vn domain namesVietnamese enterprises have registered a total of more than 200,000 .vn domain names, according the Vietnam Internet Network Information Centre (VNNIC). Vietnamese enterprises have registered more than 200,000 .vn domain names. Each enterprise, however, tends to register more than one .vn domain name, so the rate of enterprises owning .vn domain names is still very low in comparison with the total number of around 500,000 enterprises in Vietnam, said the VNNIC. At the workshop, experts and representatives of enterprises discussed many issues such as small businesses’ negligence towards the .vn domain name or raising awareness of domain names to limit negative phenomena in e-commerce. Tran Minh Tan, Director of the VNNIC, said in order to protect their brands on the internet, enterprises must register domain names relating to their interests; and the use of the .vn domain name also helps enterprises get more attention from the community and customers at home.
