Vietnamese Australian arrested at Tan Son Nhat Airport with 5kg of heroinVietNamNet Bridge – On Sunday July 24, the customs officers at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in HCM City and the police arrested a 37-year-old female Australian Vietnamese with 5kg of heroin in her luggage. According to the Tan Son Nhat Airport Customs Office, in June and July the forces discovered many heroin transporting cases, seizing nearly 15kg of heroin and other kinds of drugs. Some 14 bricks of heroin were seized by customs officers at the airport and relevant authorities on July 24Checking the woman's luggage, the authorities discovered 26 pieces of heroin totaling 5kg hidden in her personal belongings. The woman confessed that she transported the heroin for transport fee of US$25,000. Most recently, the authorities detected more than 1 ton of dried leaves containing cathinone from Africa.
