By 2022, Vietnam increased its share to 12%, while India was only seventh with 2.5%. From 2018 to 2022 Vietnam’s share of US smartphone imports increased from 9% to 18%. Vietnam also increased its share to 1% of Hong Kong’s smartphone imports, making it the world’s second-largest importer, with India’s share even smaller. In the UAE, India increased its share from 5% in 2018 to 13% in 2022, while Vietnam decreased its share over the same time from 31.8% to 13.5%. In Germany, Vietnam’s share fell from 20% to 10%, while India’s share increased from 0 to 5%.
