This strategy was put into action through Prime Minister Petr Fiala’s visit to four Southeast Asian countries, including Vietnam, in April 2023. Economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and China has continuously deepened and become more substantial. Ambassador Mai said that over the years, Vietnam and China’s Yunnan province have shared strong cooperation, especially in economy and trade. The locality is where President Ho Chi Minh used to live in and has welcomed many Vietnamese Party and State leaders. Vietnam proactively raises initiatives within CLMVSince the establishment of the Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) cooperation mechanism, Vietnam has consistently acted as an active and responsible member, making significant contributions to the mechanism.
