Special music show marks 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu VictoryA special music show was held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Dien Bien Phu city, the northwestern province of Dien Bien, on May 6 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954-2024). Earlier on May 6, the Nhan dan (People) Newspaper opened an interactive exhibition on the panorama painting depicting the Dien Bien Phu battlefield at its headquarters in Hanoi and the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum in Dien Bien Phu city. The original panorama painting, showcased at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum, depicts the Dien Bien Phu battlefield in different times from late 1953 to May 7, 1954. Savoeun for his part affirmed that the Dien Bien Phu victory is an important event for all three countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Built in 1958 in Dien Bien Phu city, Martyrs Cemetery A1 is the resting place of 644 officers and soldiers who joined the Dien Bien Phu campaign and died during the fierce battle.
