That was a remark by Florian Feyerabend, Resident Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Vietnam, at the conference 'Vietnam 2045 Report: Global Economic Trends and Policy Implications for Vietnam' on May 21. The conference was a collaboration between Novartis Vietnam and FPT Long Chau Pharmacy chain with support from the Vietnam Hypertension Association and the Vietnam National Heart Association, aiming at raising public awareness of hypertension. In Vietnam, there are about 12 million people with hypertension, with a ratio of one in five adults being affected. Through participating in UN peacekeeping operations, Việt Nam has also effectively contributed to the protection of civilians affected by conflicts on site.
