Vietnam’s Lam Dong approves $2.3bn expansion of alumina projects

The Nhan Co alumina plant expansion in Nhan Co and Kien Duc Communes will cost about VND29.986 trillion ($1.16 billion). The Lam Dong bauxite-aluminum complex expansion in Bao Lam 1 Commune will require about VND29.869 trillion ($1.15 billion). It will add a second alumina production line with the same capacity of 1.2 million metric tons per year, covering 20.79 hectares. Lam Dong authorities emphasized that these projects represent the province’s largest-ever investments.
