School leavers have been forced to party on the street with Covid restrictions banning dancing in night clubs, with some comparing it to a Year 7 disco. The second week of unofficial Schoolies celebrations kicked off on Saturday in Queensland's Surfers Paradise after a coronavirus-interrupted year of study. The TikTok video which has garnered over 230,000 views shows Year 12 students singing and dancing by the beach as a heavy police presence looks on. School leavers have mostly been praised for their good behaviour at unofficial Schoolies celebrations throughout Queensland. A venue hosting a wedding or school formal can allow dancing, as well as in exercise classes or strip clubs.
