The murder happened on Normal Road in Jamaica, near where Nazma Khanam and her husband own a small gift shop, around 9:15pm while Nazma along with her husband was walking home from a grocery store. Khanam was a retired school teacher and immigrant from Bangladesh, police say she suffered a stab wound to her torso. Surveillance video shows her walking with a bag of groceries, and a second video shows a man running from the scene. Meanwhile, detectives from the NYPD Crime Stoppers Unit papered Jamaica Hills with flyers Thursday night, and police released video of a man they want to question. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday at the Jamaica Muslim Centre, located at 85-37 168th Street in Jamaica.
