The Bank of Industry and the Export-Import Bank of China havesigned a Memorandum of Understanding to provide a credit line of up to$500million dollars towards the establishment of modular refineries inNigeria. BOI Managing Director, Mr Olukayode Pitan, said the agreement aimed tocreate 10 modular refineries and over 100,000 jobs in Nigeria’s oiland gas sector, a decisive move to advance Federal Government’sModular Refineries and Flare Gas Recovery Programme. ======Prof. Femi Odekunle, a member of The Presidential AdvisoryCommittee Against Corruption, has urged Nigerian Professionals workingwith foreign companies to put Nigeria’s interest first to enable thecountry to successfully combat Illicit Financial Flow. Odekunle, who spoke on the sidelines of the ongoing InternationalConference on Combating Illicit Financial Flows and Enhancing AssetRecovery for Sustainable Development, said Nigerian professionals werein the best position to curb illicit financial flows. The prisoners were released from prisons located in regional states aspart of the Ethiopian government’s strategy to foster peace andreconciliation in the country.
