CAIRO – 27 July 2021: The Middle East’s largest dredger arrived in Suez Canal on Tuesday from Holland as part of an equipment upgrade of the Egyptian waterway. Later, a major ceremony will be held to raise the Egyptian flag on it. Hussein Tantawy’s length is 147.4 meters and is 23 meters in width. It also has a total capacity of 29,190 kilowatts and can deal with all types of soil, including rocky ones. Hussein Tantawy will participate in the duplication, expansion and deepening of the navigation course once the Dutch side finish trials.
