CLARESHOLM, ALTA.—Another person has been charged for allegedly posing as a Fort McMurray wildfire evacuee. Thirty-nine-year-old Jamie Lynn Cox, of Victoria, is to appear in Fort McLeod court on June 1 on five counts of fraud under $5,000. Jamie Lynn Cox faces five counts of fraud under $5,000 after allegedly pretending she was a fire evacuee, when police say she has no ties to Alberta. Police say an investigation found the couple had never actually lived in Fort McMurray and had no ties to Alberta. Mounties say residents of Claresholm gave the couple a place to stay, clothes, meals and bought work boots.
