Victoria Bushfires: Navy Races To Rescue Thousands As New Fire Threat Looms

(James Ross/AAP Images via AP)The navy was racing on Friday to rescue thousands of people stranded in parts of fire-ravaged East Gippsland as a searing weather front was set to whip up more blazes across Victoria and NewSouth Wales (NSW). Bushfires have already killed two in the state and 17 are missing with grave fears for their safety. Bushfires across New South Wales and Victoria have killed at least 10 people since Christmas day following devastating fires in the NSW South Coast and East Gippsland in Victoria.
