Vice President Michetti’s Maid Says She Gets Paid Less Than Minimum Wage

Vice President Gabriella Michetti found herself embroiled in controversy after her domestic employee, Norma Elizabeth Sánchez Rojas, declared that Michetti does not abide by the Labor Laws and severely underpays her. That’s 37 percent less than minimum wage for domestic employees, which is AR $6,322.50. The second most important authority in the country paid her employee half the legal value. Rojas made these statements in the context of the case investigating the theft of roughly AR $250,000 and US $50,000 from Michetti’s house. The money was allegedly stolen on November 22nd of last year: the same day that Macri won the ballotage elections.
