Fraudulent tickets continue to be sold on Viagogo, despite the Swiss company’s ongoing legal battle with the Commerce Commission. The tickets were listed as sold out everywhere except on the Viagogo site, which had three tickets left. Kent bought tickets for the Russell Howard show in Wellington, but it turned out the tickets were fraudulent. Kent rang the number provided by Viagogo and a customer representative for the company denied the tickets were fraudulent. “Fraudulent sellers are kept off Viagogo’s platform by a range of security measures designed to disincentivise anyone trying to sell fraudulent tickets,” the company said.
