Thieves have targeted veterinary supplies in an early morning ram-raid in Wairarapa today. At 3.25am, police were called out to a vet supply warehouse in High St, Carterton, just south of Masterton, following reports of a break-in. A police spokesperson said one of two vehicles involved in the ram-raid had been stolen earlier in the weekend. Two hours later, Wairarapa police were involved in a separate pursuit through Masterton after police attempted to pull a vehicle over at a routine traffic stop, Fairfax reported. The vehicle fled, leading to a short pursuit that ended when the car drove into the Waipoua River bank.
