Once considered a promising talent at young age, Dipankar represented Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation in javelin throw event of athletics in the last decade. I opened a flexi-load shop in my father’s pharmacy. Father’s health condition has been poor so I have to look after both for now,” said Dipankar over phone. “Now I’m planning to try my luck in business to support family and besides, train the young boys of my locality in javelin throw. Current situation is like I’m retired but I want to continue playing for two-three years more,” said Dipankar.
