GEORGE TOWN: DAP Pengkalan Kota branch vice chairman Tan Eng Tut quit the party to join the Penang Front Party (PFP) today, citing lose of confidence in the party and its top leadership. In fact, he even accused Dr Mahathir of (being behind) all the problems in the country. “Now, he is eating his own words and keeps quiet on all the allegations he had made against Dr Mahathir,” he told reporters. If I do not leave the party today, I feel I have no self dignity. I need to do something for the country,” he said, adding that he submitted his resignation letter to the state DAP secretary this morning.
