A review of ventilation systems at the Pullman is being fast-tracked as officials try to pinpoint the source of three post-quarantine cases. While the jury is still out on whether Covid can spread through air conditioning, Jackson Engineering managing director Lance Jimmieson said MIQs should at least be reviewing their ventilation systems. The Government has said that ventilation systems are considered when choosing a managed infection quarantine MIQ facility, but Jimmieson said he suspected that was a low priority. However, there is still no scientific consensus on whether ventilation and air conditioning units can spread the virus.
