Venezuela Pushes Back Presidential Vote to May 20


Venezuela’s election agency said Thursday that a presidential vote planned for April 22 will be pushed back a month after the government reached a deal with some opposition candidates. The head of the National Electoral Council, Tibisay Lucena, said the vote will be held May 20, and that candidates will have until Friday to register. The electoral body proposed holding the vote at the same time as elections for state legislatures and municipal councils.
