Venezuela’s Juan Guaidó Says He Has Support From Members of Military


CARACAS, Venezuela—Opposition leader Juan Guaidó, flanked by a small group of heavily armed troops outside a military base on Tuesday, called for Venezuelans to hit the streets to overthrow President Nicolás Maduro. The Maduro administration said it was moving to put down what it called a coup attempt, setting up a potential armed struggle for control of the government with Mr. Guaidó, who is viewed by the U.S. and more than 50 other nations as Venezuela’s sole legitimate leader.
