NewsMP Athuraliye Rathana Thera said he will abstain from voting at the No-Confidence Motion (NCM) on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. The Thera made the announcement at a media briefing held in Parliament this evening. Speaking in Parliament earlier during the debate on the NCM, Rathana Thera, who now acts as an Independent in Parliament, said he could not oppose the NCM against the PM. He claimed that the Government had betrayed the principles it stood for.
