Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesperson Jill Higgison confirmed crews were dispatched to the incident at Molloys Rd in Studholme, Waimate about 12.40pm on Sunday. Crews were at the scene until about 1.30pm, while power remains out in Studholme, and is expected to be back on about 5pm on Sunday, according to Alpine Energy’s website. Alpine Energy chief executive Andrew Tombs said about 25 customers had been affected by the power outage.
