According to traders, vegetable prices have been declining for three consecutive weeks due to increased supply. The prices of vegetables have come down as compared to last week due to an increase in the supply of winter vegetables like cauliflowers, cabbages, beans, radishes and turnips. It has been seen in different markets of the capital that old potatoes are being sold at Tk40 per kg. Commenting on the rise in onion prices, Kawran Bazar trader Safiq Ehsan said: "Trucks are stuck at the ferry terminal due to fog. As a result, prices have risen.”It has been observed that beans are being sold at Tk20 per kg like last week; two months ago the price of beans was Tk120.
