It is with broken hearts that we share our beloved Gordo "went supernova" on July 11th, after a brave journey living with esophageal cancer. In Gord's early teens, his father transferred to CBC's London bureau, and Gordo attended Highgate School for three years — an experience he treasured. Upon his dad's retirement, the family returned to his mom's hometown, West Vancouver, and Gordo enrolled at St. George's School. With the encouragement of his uncle, legendary UBC professor & president Walter Gage, Gord entered Engineering at UBC. Gordo was a polymath, with an endless array of hobbies, but he cultivated one passion above all else: his family & friends.
