They weren’t the renditions the Canucks had planned, but Vancouver fans made sure the Star-Spangled Banner and O Canada were heard in Rogers Arena on Tuesday night. Blues musician Jim Byrnes, a St. Louis native and Vancouver resident, was performing the U.S. national anthem before the Canucks’ game against the Blues when his microphone cut out shortly before the end. The crowd finished the song, and then sang the Canadian anthem in unison when the technical problems persisted. Watch the video:
