They’re a team in transition, but they’re not in a full rebuild. With their veterans and goaltending, they can stay in the playoff hunt while they integrate younger players into the lineup. Well, the problem with the Canucks isn’t necessarily their placement in the standings, although that invites a number of uncomfortable questions. Maybe it isn’t a definitive ranking, but it’s an indication the Canucks are doing something right at the draft table. They’re not a playoff team, nor are they remotely close to being a playoff team.
