Credit: ValveValve is trying to make Dota 2 more welcoming to newcomers after years of unpleasantness and toxicity that turned many potential players away. Dota 2 is an online competitive game where two teams of five attempt to destroy the other team's base. Of course, Dota 2 and the MOBA genre are hardly the only games to have toxic online communities. Far from making the team play better, this is demoralizing and annoying. Maybe other players feel the same, and maybe Valve's announcement will bring some of them back to try Dota 2 again.
