(MENAFN - Daily News Egypt) The value of Egyptian exports to the #UnitedStates reached EGP 10.6bn in 2016 and represent 4.7% of Egypt's exports to the world, compared to EGP 9.4bn in 2015—an increase of 12.3%. Exports of finished garments came in first place with 56.1% of the total exports of the US, reaching EGP 5.9bn in 2016 compared to EGP 5.7bn in 2015—an increase of 4.1%. Imports of boilers, machinery, tools, and machinery ranked first with a total value of EGP 5.6bn in 2016, compared to EGP 4.3bn in 2015—an increase of 28.6%. US investments in #Egypt reached EGP 27m in 2016 compared to EGP 13.2m in 2015—an increase of 104.9%. The number of tourist nights reached 1.3 million in 2016, compared to 1.5 million tourist nights in 2015—a decrease of 18.7%.
