Valour FC game postponed due to poor air quality in Edmonton

Valour FC’s road game against Edmonton FC, which was scheduled for late Saturday afternoon, has been postponed due to poor air quality in the Alberta capital. The game will now be played at 11:30 a.m., CT Sunday in Edmonton, where smoke from wildfires has caused havoc with the air quality. Winnipeg-based Valour FC enters the Canadian Premier League soccer game with a 2-3 record and needs to start stringing together wins to have any chance of catching Cavalry FC from Calgary (5-0) for first place before the end of the 10-game spring season. Valour FC has not played since May 16. Game 1 of that series goes Wednesday in Halifax.
