The COVID-19 pandemic has re-shaped society as a whole, and the operation of sporting events has been no different. "The other side of this alleged debate argues that it's discriminatory," Campbell said, "It's less discriminatory than charging money because not everybody has money. "As a public square, they have a responsibility to public health and they have a responsibility to the law. "I think it's no different when you think of the fact that firearms are not allowed in venues either," McPeak said. "You're trying to protect the safety of those that are attending events at your venues, whether it's concerts, sporting events [or] conventions."
