Vaccination emerging as travel criterion in region and beyond

LONDON--Full vaccination is increasingly becoming the standard for world travel and the Middle East and North Africa region is no exception. This applies to residents, government and business travellers or those visiting friends and family, but not to foreign tourists, according to the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA). This would still exclude non-vaccinated travellers from much of the world, but could allow travel from, for example, Britain, which is well-advanced in its vaccination campaign. Less than 2% of the total population of a country like Tunisia have received two vaccination doses. Many other countries in the region face the same predicament due to poor governance or lack of resources.
