WORKINGTON Town fans are being encouraged to nominate their player of the year ahead of the club’s awards night later this month - after a difficult season on and off the pitch. The season has been a difficult one for players, fans and staff at the club, with confirmation of relegation back to League One. However, here at the Times & Star we still want to recognise players that have made an impact on our readership and provided entertainment for fans throughout the year through the Newsquest Times & Star Player of the Year award. We are now calling on Town fans to nominate their ‘player of the year’ to be recognised at the presentation night on Friday, September 30.
