HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam won the futsal tournament for ASEAN embassies held in India on February 5, beating Thailand 2-0 in the final match. In all, eight teams, divided into two groups, participated in the event. Việt Nam were second in Group A after defeating Singapore 1-0, tied with the allied team of Laos, Cambodia and Brunei 0-0 and beat leaders 2-0. They then best Indonesia 1-0 in the semi-finals. The tournament was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the ASEAN-India dialogue partnership.
